Description
This 1947 Volkswagen T-Shirt represents a classic car that was also nicknamed the Beetle because of its looks, it became a popular car in later years.
In 1945 Volkswagen almost didn’t make it due to the fact it was the end of World War II, there was a question of the factory being dismantled. Only about 1800 Volkswagens were produced in1945. In 1947 the total increased to 8.987 cars being produced. In 1949 when it was introduced to the United States they only sold 2 Volkswagens. In 2016-2017 it became the world’s largest manufacturer of automobiles. During the 60’s the beetle became very popular, one of the reasons was it’s air-cooled engine in the rear. There were a number of diehard Beetle lovers everywhere.
