Vintage Ironclad Ship Monitor vs Merrimac T-Shirt #21
On March 9, 1862, the first two American Ironclad ships went into battle. The Monitor a Union Ironclad and the Confederate Ironclad Ship the Merrimac (CSS Virginia). While the Monitor was a smaller ship with only two big guns and the Merrimac was bigger with many guns it is considered the Monitor had a clear advantage. The Monitor had a very low profile close to the water. It was very hard to hit and was more maneuverable than the Merrimac. The battle ended up a draw.

Care Instructions
Machine wash cold, inside-out, gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colors.
Use non-chlorine bleach, only when necessary. No fabric softeners. Tumble dry low, or hang-dry for longest life.
Cool iron inside-out if necessary. Do not iron decoration.
Do not dry clean.
